There are many before us who have made the way for others and put their lives on the line so that we can have a better life.  Dr. Martin Luther King is one of them. Today we celebrate his legacy and his sacrifice for what he has done.  Not only should we appreciate it all, but we all need to show our appreciation by the way we  live today.  He wanted everyone to be equal and be given the same rights as others.  I know we're not there yet but he set the path and made things happen.  God puts all of us in situations to do what we believe to be right and just and make a difference in the world  but we can't do it through violence, hatred and judging others.   Every time we don't respect one another, every time we do things intentional against another person, we are disrespecting the people before us who have helped us get to where we are today. People have died so that we may live so it's  just not right when we don't behave in a loving way.  Jesus said Love and forgive each other and most importantly to be a light to the world.  If we're not being examples, we're not appreciating the grace from God and others for what they have done for us.  Dr. Martin Luther King lost his life for  us and now today we celebrate and have a chance to take time out to say "Thank You". Amen

Let us pray,

Dear Lord thank you for another day and for being with us always.  You are a wonderful God and the love that you give to us is unconditional and without you God, I'm not sure where we would be.  Lord I know you have a plan and always a way.  Please give us the strength to deal with whatever we encounter and help us to know that whatever we deal with, you're still in control.  We shouldn't worry about yesterday or tomorrow because Today is enough to handle.  Lord we all have our problems but thank you so much for sending down your son to save us all.  That is truly grace and mercy.  Thank you and Lord please help us  to see what's best, use us according to your will and give us the wisdom to live day to day. We love you and we thank you.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen and Amen

I don't have much to say today but what I do want to say is Lord Thank you for loving us and teaching us how to love. Amen

In life, even when our lives appear to be going well, it's always good to still stay connected to God and spend time with him daily.  Remember I told you before that we're in a spiritual warfare so it's wise to gain wisdom and know where we're headed.  God gives all of us chances everyday but we have to be smart about what we do and stay focus.  We have to answer to God and that's why it's important to have our own mind and be careful in how we handle ourselves.  Let's not get distracted by things but always keep God in the core of what we do.  As we live each day, we can tell when we're going forward or backwards so let's be aware of what's happening so we can  continue to build our relationship with God and serve him daily. Amen    

It's very important that we take care of ourselves because if we don't no one else will and it's very important that we put ourselves in environments and around people who have our best interest.  I'm not saying not be around anyone but when people see that you're trying to do the right thing and guide you in the wrong direction, you need to make a change.  Also, when we see ourselves moving in the wrong direction we need to back up and start again.  It's very important that  we wake up and open our eyes to see what we're doing and what we're not doing.  We can always tell who's there for us by thier actions.  God is about love so if anyone is doing anything against that, does not have your back.  Most of  us know how we're treating people and it's up to us to not do that because we hurt others and most importantly we hurt ourselves.  God is speaking to all of us about how we act and the importance of loving others and ourselves.  Let's take time out for God and if we have any bitterness in our hearts, let's change that to love so we can enjoy life, give hope to the world and be at peace. Amen

God shows us all an image of ourselves and he also speaks to us about what's needed to better our lives as well as teaches us wisdom. He doesn't force us to do anything but he educates us on how to get through tough times without being stressed and have peace through it all.  It's up to us to see who we are, how we're handling ourselves and how our actions affect or help other people.  Everything we do in life has a positive or negative impact on somebody and God wants us to be a light to others so that he or she will not be in darkness, not try and bring them down.  We all have choices and whatever decisions we make in life, there are always good and bad consequences.  It's just not worth the time or effort to be negative in situations or try and bring people down but instead, love, be an example and give back what God has given to us.   God wants leaders to walk with him, to give hope to the world and to be an example for all.  In doing that, we gain peace, joy and we see God's work through others.  Let's value this gift and allow God to work in our lives.  Remember everything we do, either brings us closer to God or forces us to be disconnected from God.  Let's make wise decisions to better this life so that we may be with God and live eternally.  Amen    

God said give me your burdens and I will give you rest.  That's means that He's with us all the time and we shouldn't hold on to anything or stop us from building The Body of Christ.  We all have things that we deal with and sometimes situations are tough to handle but God is a good God and He's always holding our hand and sometimes carrying us along the way.  It's very important that we prepare ourselves for storms because we are in a spiritual warfare and it's not going to be easy all the time.  We do that by trusting God and walking with faith each day.  Also, it's important to clear our minds from nonsense because it's not good to surround ourselves with people who we know don't have our best interest at heart.  Most of the time, burdens or situations come from people or ourselves.  If someone loves  you and has your best interest, he or she will treat you with respect and love you unconditionally so don't be fooled but keep it moving.  When we're working to better ourselves, sometimes we lose friends and that's okay because we gain more down the road.  We all are God's children and when we are good examples it shows the light in us and people would want to be a part of the wonderful love that Jesus provides.  We don't have time to stop serving God so let's continue to love so that we all may stay connected to God and have peace in this wonderful gift called life.  Amen     

God gives us all jobs to do. Whether we do them or not, it's our choice.  He tells us the objectives and he also tells us in detail how to start preparing ourselves so that we can be happy with what we're doing.  He starts  off by telling us the importance of love, forgiviness, patience, humility and so much more but how can we fillfull the role if we're not opened to wisdom to do what we have to do?  He also tells us how to enjoy the job and have peace.  This is a role that he gives to all of us and some of us have more roles than others but in order to move to the next level, we have to do this first.  Some of us are stuck in situations because we don't do this and we're trying to do so much but not loving our neighbor or forgiving our brothers and sisters.  The good thing about working for God is that we get paid every single day by gaining peace and joy in our lives.  It doens't matter what we do, if we don't make God the center of it all, we won't have peace.  Peace only comes from God.  Why do you think as we get older we wonder why we're still in the same situation?  I'm not saying to do this and that but what I am saying is life is way to short to not be improving for the better.    If we want to move to another level, we have to be prepared and focused on what we're suppose to do.  The bottom line is the job is all about spiritual growth and answering God's call so that we can fulfill the mission set by Him.  Let's work on having the good intentions when we're dealing with others and prepare ourselves to do well so God can guide us to do the job well. Amen 

  

Things happen in our lives all the time.  Sometimes the situations are good and sometimes they are bad.  We should never get discouraged about what happens in our lives but always stay positive and have faith that God is with us. Sometimes what appears to be bad  works out for the good because we get to see through another set of lenses in situations and it forces us to get it together.  God works through us and others so we have to trust Him and accept whatever comes our way.  Like I said before, life is not meant to be comfortable when we're serving the Lord but it's meant to be joyful and we get that when we pick up the cross and walk with Jesus.  Jesus already paid the price so keep your head up and know that he's holding your hand.  Don't let anyone tell you anything different but instead work towards building your relationship with God so you can nourish your soul and be at peace. Amen

God said in John  15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches, Whoever remains in me and I in Him will bear much fruit, Because without Me you are nothing.  Let's think about that verse.  What does that mean to you?  It's all about having a relationship with God and allowing Him to work in our lives.  The key to connecting to this verse is taking time out for God, building or strengthening the relationship and getting to know Him. It's a choice but I can't even express the importance of this enough.  It doesn't matter what we do or what we have, nothing will ever be right or we will never be at peace if we don't put  God first or understand that verse.  Sometimes we spend so much time doing this and that and we find ourselves with nothing because we're not putting God first. God is around us all the time and if we just love, respect others and be humble, we will see God guiding us in the right direction and we'll find ourselves able to connect with the vine.  I have to thank God because that wisdom allows us to have peace and be able to have joy in our hearts through all things. What is going on in your life? Are you at peace?  Think about it because that's what God wants for you but you have to want it for yourself.  Help us Lord Amen.
