Hello everyone,

I had to take some time for reflection.  We all need that in life but you know I always come back strong and excited to talk to everyone.

I hope you are doing well and know that God is still in control over all of this mess that we are witnessing today in our Country.
 
The topic for today is COURAGE.  We need more people with courage to do what's right because it will benefit so many that are in our lives today, it will benefit so many that come after us and it will just be such a light for others to see Jesus through us.  I think there's so much pressure in the world and sometimes people don't want to be the outsider or go against the odds.

Well, that's our job and when we do that, we change lives and become closer to God to fulfill our purpose.  When you're up against a situation where you need to do something that's right, have courage and if you don't have courage, ask God to give you the strength to have it.  Lack of courage is why we're going through what we're going through today.

Think about it. We're in a spiritual warfare so it's either good or evil.  When we have courage and do what's right, we change the world, help others, give hope and grow within.  Courage is something that we all need for ourselves too because sometimes it's hard out here and I don't know about you but I get tired of not taking advantage of opportunities that God puts in front of me to grow.  The more we have courage and do things that are out of our comfort zone, the better we will be.  That's so true.

We have to challenge ourselves to have courage so again when you have the opportunity, go for it.  You will feel so good about yourselves.  I just wanted to share a poem that God help me to write years ago. See below and enjoy.

Are you afraid to be you?
If so, let me know tell you what you need to do

You need to challenge  yourself each day
To be you in each and every way

If you're shy or scared to cross the line
Pray to God and He will help you to find

Courage to be able to walk with Him
To fulfill your purpose so we all can win

Go with your heart and do what you want to do
You don't have to please others, just be you

God wants to use you in every way He can
So that you can serve Him; He will hold your hand

Be brave, you are not alone
God said to come to Him, you're welcomed in His home

He will help you to challenge the day
Trust in Him every step of the way

Live and don't be afraid
You are a child that God made

Life is given to you by God, you see
Stand up tall and be all that God made you to be

It’s really sad what we’re dealing with today with all of the negative vibes around us.  Through all of this, we still have to trust God and know that He sees what’s happening and is still in control. We can’t think about getting involved or allowing these times to destroy our hearts and minds. This is very important in order to stay connected to God.

It’s very easy to get sad or angry because sometimes things are just wrong.  It’s not worth it but what is worth it is still being a Christian, loving our neighbor and continuing to be the light of Jesus. 
There’s so much going on in our country today and it’s sad to witness or to hear things that are damaging people. 

We’re here on a mission to give hope, give love and show that God is a wonderful God.  Actually, to help the lost, to heal the sick and it just be a good example to all.  Again, let’s not allow anyone to take us out of our character but be the person who God wants us to be because He has a plan.

This world is full of good and evil so each day we have to choose which side we want to be on and allow our actions to reflect that choice. NO ONE IS MORE POWERFUL THAN GOD AND WHEN WE STAND FIRM AND ALLOW HIM TO WORK THROUGH US, WE WILL ALWAYS WIN.  We just have to trust Him, walk with faith and take the sacrifice. Do that and you will see your life change for the good.

We all are on a journey living different lives but we all should have the same mission that was given by Jesus - To fulfill God’s plan the best way we know how.  In doing that, we are told to be disciples by loving and forgiving our neighbor as well as allowing our light to shine to represent Jesus Christ.

In doing that, we have to trust God through all things and when we encounter bad situations, we have to still trust God because this is when He wants us to depend on Him.  When we depend on Him, we become closer, our faith get stronger and we will begin to live our lives with peace.

I mention bad situations because sometimes we forget that God died for our sins, sometimes the pain that we go through is tough to handle that we forget who’s holding our hand and sometimes we think we can get through things on our own.

It doesn’t matter what we go through in life, we still should trust God

It doesn’t matter if we feel like we’re at the end of the road, we still should trust God

It doesn’t matter if we feel like we’re alone, we still should trust God

It doesn’t matter if we made mistakes in our lives, we should learn from them and still should trust God

The bottom line is have confidence that God is always with us through ALL SITUATIONS.  HIS GRACE IS MERCIFUL AND HIS LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL. We are here to serve and to carry the cross and walk with Jesus. When we do that and know why we’re here, we will be able to get through any situations.  If we’re in situations that need healing, God will make that work as well. We just have to gain strength from Him and know that He’s with us.

This is a new year with lots of opportunities and lots of grace.  It’s wise to take some time to think about where we are and what we want to accomplish this new year through all of the challenges or past experiences. 
 
Let’s remember that we all make mistakes and let’s not hold on to what happened in the past but know what we need to do in the present.  We have to learn the value of letting go and letting God and to be total confident in our Lord, knowing we’re forgiven and loved.  Let’s receive God’s grace and cleanse our bodies so that we can begin again today not tomorrow.
 
You are special so let’s not doubt what you can do but to awaken to a new day, new possibilities and a new life. AMEN to that.  It’s normal to think about things or what we’ve done in the past, but we can’t take it back.  What I do know is God is a loving God and He tells us to give Him our burdens and He will give us rest so let’ move on and learn from our mistakes so that we can live and grow in the name of Jesus.
 
If we take one day at a time, depend on God and trust Him without stressing, we will be able to make some things happen or see what God is doing in our lives.  God tells us that the day is enough to handle and to not worry about tomorrow. That’s very powerful because what God is saying is, I got you just enjoy the beauty of what’s in front of you and I will give you rest. 
 
Thank you Lord

​This new year, it is wise to practice or continue to have a positive attitude.  What we put in our bodies and minds will affect situations on our journey.
Having a positive attitude has so many benefits and can help us to be at peace. Please see below reasons how a positive attitude can help us in our lives.
​

• Allow us to serve God
• Allow us to be at peace
• Allow us to decrease our stress level
• Allow us to give hope to the world
• And so much more
• Avoid consequences after the fact
• Help us to see God working in our lives
• Help us to start our day on a good note
• Keep us from allowing negative vibes in our lives
• Keep us from being negative
• Keep us from creating bad situation

 
In Ephesians 4:31 it says this:
All bitterness, fury, anger, shouting, and reviling must be removed from you, along with all malice
 
Not having a positive attitude does the opposite of all those statements above and pretty much hold us back from loving, from serving and from being the person who God is calling us to be.
 
We have got to stop allowing others to take us out of our character and stop allowing ourselves to do things that we know are affecting who we are and what we know we can be in life.
 
I’ve done it and I know you’ve done it too.  It’s time now to get a grip of our own lives, work towards being a better person for ourselves, for God and for others.
 
We all have a destiny and the first step in fulfilling that is to say, “yes let’s make a change for the better”. I don’t know about your life; I can’t judge your life but all I can do is love you and tell you that you’re special and you have something to give to the world.  We can’t allow what we’ve done in the past, what we’ve done to others or how others treat us to affect our direction today.  God is a forgiving God; He’s a loving God and He takes us for who we are today not who we were yesterday or days before.
 
I spent years of my life doing crazy things and was holding on to so much, but I realize that God forgives and if we just repent and do it right the next time, things will heal and get better.  I also realize that God pours His grace on us each day and if we accept it, He will walk with us through the good and the bad. 
 
Let’s awaken with positive minds to heal ourselves, others and be a witness to allowing our light to shine so that people can see Jesus in us one day at a time.
