Dear Lord,
As we bring in the New Year, we just want to say "Thank You" for your many blessings.  You're always so good to us and you bless us year after year.  I just want to make sure you hear that and I'm sure others will piggy back on that as well.  You're such a wonderful God and it brings joy to my heart day after day on how you fill us with so much grace. Each day is a gift and a blessing and I pray today that all of us take time out and realize what you've done and what you're doing in our lives.  I pray Lord that you touch each and everyone of us in a way to be more humble, to show appreciation to others and to work towards strengthening our relationship with you. Lord you said without you we are nothing so please continue to guide us and bless us according to your will.  In Jesus name we pray and thank you again for another year in your house. Amen and we love you. 

NEW YEAR'S POEM

New Year's is a gift from God above
To show our appreciation with love

It's filled with God's grace and so much more
We need to appreciate what God has done for us like never before

He gives us second chances day after day
Let's learn to give back in a very special way

He  doesn't ask much but he gives us choices too
Let's stop acting like we don't know what to do

Sometimes our lives are chaotic but we still do things that hold us back
Let's take charge of the mess so we can get our lives back on track

Nothing will change if we don't do what we're suppose to do
But if we trust God, give him our burdens, he will guide us through

What I'm saying is let's not worry but listen to the master when he speaks
He doesn't tell us anything that's irrrevant but wisdom to keep

You all are special and you all have something to give
Let's share his love so others may live

It's not about us but about accepting God and giving a helping hand
So when you go through trials always know that  It's according to God's plan

In the New Year, keep your head up and accept whatever comes your way
Do it with class and intregrity day after day

You will see the victory and will give God some praise
You will be thankful and definitely amazed

New Years is really another opportunity to live, appreciate God's grace and be given a second chance to rebuild and restore what is broken.  We have to start with ourselves. Where is our hearts, are we willing to be humbled and are we open to love one another.  These days come and go and it's our choice to take a step back and taste and see the goodness of our Lord.  It's so  much to be thankful for and it's so much to give to others.  Let's think about that and set some goals for ourselves.  Joy comes from within and no one can ever take away our faith, our love and our commitment to God. God is the one who guides us, protects us and is always there for us.  He's about love and when we lose the connection with God we lose everything.  The main goal in the new year for me is to continue to love so I can continue to stay connected to the vine.  Let's think about where we are in our lives to determine the appropriate  measures to take for the coming New Year. Amen

We can never blame anyone for our actions and we should never expect people to be what we think they should be.  The reason why I said that is because we all have faults and if God said love and forgive who are we to judge and our actions say alot about us and where we are in life.  God died for all of us and he is always giving us second chances so if we don't respect that sacrifice, who are we?  The bottom line is don't let anyone make you think less of yourself for your actions or judge others but instead look at your own life and see what you're doing.  We all need to look within to better ourselves or make a difference so that's what life is all about. We all are human and God died so that we may live.  That means appreciating the blessing by loving his children and allowing him to work in our lives.  We don't have time for nonsense because it's too many people out here that want to accept Gods grace and if not, we have to keep it moving. I hope you understand the wisdom in that and have joy one day at a time. Amen and Thank You Lord.

Our relationship with God guides us to our purpose.  However, in order to be guided to that purpose let's stay connected.  Sometimes we think we have it going on when things appear to be great but really we're setting ourselves up for failure if we're not putting God first, loving his children and treating people the way we want to be treated.  What I'm saying is it doesn't matter what we do in life, if it's not of God, it's not going to work.  It took me years to learn that and this is why we need to take time out and wake up because sometimes we die before we live.  Life is so precious and God has so much in store for us but it starts within.  I pray that God guides us all but we have to want to love not hate,  to forgive and not be stubborn,  to give respect and not be disrespectful.  All of these are factors and what holds us back from our purpose.  Also, when we participate in nonsense and we know it's wrong, we're really holding ourselves back because God judges our hearts and when we do that, not only are we hurting ourselves but  we're teaching others to do the same.  This is why God said be an example, be a leader so that others can see the  light and not be in darkness.  This coming new year, we need to follow leaders, not followers, we need to be good examples not hold each other down, we need to be a light not keep people in darkness.  Let's see where we stand in our own lives and do what we can do to make things better for God, for ourselves and for his children. Amen and Amen

God is so good to us and during the holidays, I had the opportunity to reflect on His grace and love.  We really don't have time to be something other than a loving child of God.  We hear and witness so many people dealing with things and when we can awaken in the morning and be given another day to enjoy life, it's such a blessing.  We need to learn how to love more, how to forgive and how to humble ourselves. I say this all the time and when we live like it's about us and don't treat people with respect, we're disconnecting ourselves from the  Body of Christ.  In planning for the upcoming new year, we need to evaluate how we act towards others, how we're being examples to others and how we can fix what's broken.  We will always have problems or be broken if we're not planning to change for the better and whereever we go in the world, our problems will still be with us if we don't take charge to  make things better.  It's all a choice and I don't know about you but I need peace and peace only comes from God. Amen and Amen

It's so important this time of the year to refresh our relationship with God and really try and gain wisdom so we can grow within and become better people.  Life is short and God  has a purpose for all of us.  Let's never lose sight of what's important but always trust God to listen to his words.  Whatever you're dealing with or that's keeping you back from being a better person, let's work on that so you can be who God wants you to be and have peace because he loves you very much.  Enjoy these holidays and know that you're loved.
