Hello everyone,
I hope all is well. This is a new day so let’s try to make it positive and productive. In Matthew 7:17, God said “JUST SO, EVERY GOOD TREE BEARS GOOD FRUIT, AND A ROTTEN TREE BEARS BAD FRUIT. A GOOD TREE CAN NOT BEAR BAD FRUIT AND A BAD TREE CAN NOT BEAR GOOD FRUIT. Let’s talk about how that relates to our own lives. We all were given life as a gift, and we all are living life differently and doing it the best way we know how at the time. We live each day learning and making mistakes so that we grow for our light to shine. We all have responsibilities, and we make good or bad choices. It depends on where we are in life. This journey that we live was given by God to prepare ourselves to be better and help others along the way. We make our day, and we can either be positive or negative. Everything we do has an effect on someone so how we live our lives sets the bar for our journey. Life can be chaotic at times, but this is why we always have to stay connected to the vine so that we can gain strength from God to display good actions. Life can be stressful because the devil is on a mission and if we’re not connected to God, we will fall. Most of the time, we put stress on our own lives but instead at times, we blame others for what goes on in our lives. The reality is God gives us the tools to bear good fruit but if we don’t choose to utilize His virtues then we can’t complain about what happens in our lives. It’s critical that we take time out for ourselves and spend some quality time with God so that we can prepare our minds to be our own person to see through God's lenses. Sometimes we let others distract us but when we spend that quality time with ourselves, we can hear God, we can see clearly, and we can work towards doing what we’re suppose to do for the entire Body of Christ. (Bearing good fruit) Bearing good or bad fruit is a choice and in bearing good fruit, there comes sacrifice because it doesn’t come easy. In order to bear good fruit, we have to give of ourselves more and walk with the cross. That sometimes means forgiving, loving, and just not making life about us; dealing with things to better a situation and not pointing the finger at others. When we don’t’ bear good fruit, we’re stressed and at times don’t know which way to turn. When we bear good fruit, we know where we’re going, we have accepted whatever comes before us and we trust God to work in our lives for the good. What I’m saying is, we’re free to do whatever we want to do in life and bearing good or bad fruit is a choice. Either we want to be happy or sad. The beauty in bearing good fruit is it helps us all and people can see Jesus through our actions and bearing bad fruit is putting a pause on our lives and not prospering to have joy one day at a time. So, in saying all of that, we have a choice in what we want to do in life. All I can say is at some point, we get tired of being tired and like God said in Matthew 7:17, a good tree cannot bear bad fruit, but a bad tree cannot bear good fruit so let’s make wise decisions so that we can have peace and not be miserable on our journey. Let’s practice good virtues like compassion, love, forgiveness, hope, honesty, patience, and humility so that we can bear good fruit. Amen and Thank Your Lord
