Gossip

We all are responsible for what we do.  I say that because everything we do matters and when we don’t do the right thing, we cause problems in our lives and the lives of others.  One thing that is really not good is gossip.  Gossip can cause so many problems.  It’s not good because 1) God said it in the word Leviticus 19:16 Do not go about spreading slander among your people.  Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life.  I am the Lord.  and 2) People interpret things different and sometimes the words we say may turn out to be something else.

The best thing to do is talk to the source and state the facts.  Actually, sometimes we just have to stay in our lane and let people be people.  Let people handle whatever they are going through.  That’s the best way sometimes because people can take what we say against us and cause problems and actually sometimes situations can turn out to be dangerous. 

I’ve learned that the hard way because I’m a person that likes to help others and I like to share things with people to help situations.  When I did that, my words spread with the wrong message and was taken totally out of control.  I stopped so what I’m doing now is speaking my peace and leaving things alone.  That’s how I get peace so I let go and let God.

There are some people who like to stir up the pot or cause drama.  You really need to stay away from those situations because trust me, you will be put in a situation even when you’re trying to help.  The bottom line is we’re the branches and God is the vine.  If we don’t stop doing crazy things like gossip and causing drama, we will lose out anyway.  We will fall from the vine and be worth nothing.  This is why you have to let people handle their own situations and don’t get caught in the mess.

What we do is important and whether it’s good or bad, our actions will either cause problems or help us to follow the right path.  God does not have time for nonsense but he gives us our own mind and allows us to make our own decisions.  Think about it and when we act or interact with others, let’s be cautious in what we say and do because in the end you may find yourself in a situation that’s hard to get out of and it puts stress on your life.  People with good intentions will  not do harm and if we have good intentions we will stay away from the drama, know who we’re working with and just live your life. 

Sometimes this happens in your own family but we have to remember we’re here to serve and we have to stay focused.  Let’s not let nothing stop us from that mission.
