Hello everyone,
Yesterday, I talked about the importance of strength and faith and today it’s appropriate to talk about wisdom because it aligns with those topics. The definition of wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement. Wisdom is the key to help us progress in life on a positive note with making good decisions to benefit all of us. It’s basically knowing how to make the right choices to better a situation to help ourselves and others. That’s my definition in a nutshell. There are so many bible verses that talk about wisdom but one that sticks to me is the one that tells us if we find wisdom, we better hold on to it. I listed it at the bottom of this message. Why do you think He says that? I think because when we make decisions without wisdom, we mess up our path and direction and we cause stress to others including ourselves. We don’t know it all but we learn and God helps us to understand. For me, I have to pray to make sure I’m understanding things because sometimes we think we know what’s up and we don’t. Wisdom is growing in God and developing a relationship with Him one day at a time. It’s also choosing to follow Him, listening to His word and learning how to fight the battle on our journey. Wisdom is truly a gift because it allows us to not think about ourselves but more about building The Body of Christ. Amen to that because that’s what it’s all about. It’s also like being educated in a field and knowing what to do, how to do it and how it will help situations now and later. Wisdom is knowledge. For example, we know that God tells us to love, forgive and treat people the way we want to be treated. If we’re in a situation where God allows us to practice the virtue of love, we should do it because it will show the love that God has for us and the joy of His grace. If we don’t, stress will come, and no one will get peace out of anything. We learn wisdom also by going through the struggles, suffering the consequences, and wanting others to not deal with some of the trials and tribulations that we encountered on our journey. Let’s continue to utilize wisdom in our lives so that we can help each other get through situations and let’s pray to God for understanding the benefit of wisdom. Please enjoy Proverbs Chapter 3 that talks about wisdom below as well as a poem that talks about it as well. Proverbs Chapter 3 - The Value of Wisdom 13 Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, 14 for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. 16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. 17 Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. 19 By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; 20 by his knowledge the watery depths were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew. 21 My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; 22 they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. 23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. 24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. 25 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, 26 for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared. 27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”— when you already have it with you. 29 Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you. 30 Do not accuse anyone for no reason— when they have done you no harm. 31 Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways. 32 For the LORD detests the perverse but takes the upright into his confidence. 33 The LORD’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. 34 He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed. 35 The wise inherit honor, but fools get only shame. WISDOM Wisdom only comes from God If you don’t have wisdom, life will be hard All of us have been given life For a purpose and to fight the fight The fight for God to walk with the cross We have to know who’s in charge and who’s the boss The boss is God. He helps us all To get through life and to stand up tall It’s not easy to hold the cross and walk Because the devil is on a mission and he does talk The devil will tell you all kinds of lies So that you will get stressed and not rise To the top in doing what God wants you to do His will, you know that’s true I know sometimes you feel down Wisdom will lift you up and turn that around It will allow you to smile when things are tough And teach you how to have joy through all life stuff If you have a desire for peace in your life Ask God for wisdom and be prepared to fight Life challenges when you go through pain Know that God is with you and HE will help you gain. Amen, Amen and Amen. Thank You Lord
