importance or being an example to others

When we’re positive examples to others, it allows us to feel good about ourselves and love our neighbor.  All of us are here to be an example for God.  We are called to be an example because people need hope, need Jesus and It’s the mission set by God.  We all need each other and if we don’t know Jesus or love others, we’re going to have serious problems.
 
I know when we deal with people it’s not an easy task.  Some people just don’t want to be a part of your life.  That’s okay too.  God said if people don’t accept you, wipe the dust off your feet and keep on truck-in.  In other words, move on to  your journey, let go and let God.  God has plans for us all but we have to be an example in order to fulfill our mission.  It’s just like being a parent. If you’re not being a good example to your children, they will have problems when they grow up.  Not only will they have problems but you will have problems as well.  Why do you think there are so many grandparents raising children?  Why is the teenage pregnancy rate so high?  Why are people so stressed?  I’m not blaming everything on the parents but if we’re not examples this happens.  I was one of these parents myself so I can testify.
 
It’s a tough job to be a mother or a father in this world today.  Sometimes we get stressed and we try and go the easy route.  We treat our children like our friends.  We need to be parents and show good examples to help them.  I was doing things that I wanted to do and I found myself blaming my children for not living up to their responsibility as they got older.  God said “hold up and let’s backtrack a little”.  He said “you need to be a parent and an example for me.”  That’s my child.  He said let me help you.  Be an example for me and show that child the spiritual way of life.  God needs spiritual people to fight this battle and if we’re not examples, life is going to be hard for us.  I say that because if we’re not being a good example to others, we’re not being a good example to ourselves.  Everything that we do affects us and people around us.  If we’re good examples to others, we will show love and this will help us to enjoy life and hopefully get to heaven. 
DISCIPLE
 
A disciple is full of love and loves unconditionally all the time
 
A disciple knows how to forgive in all situations
 
A disciple takes time out for others even when he or she is tired
 
A disciple feels your pain when you are sad
 
A disciple is a good listener when you need someone to talk to
 
A disciple will walk through the storms with you when life is tough
 
A disciple always has faith in God even in painful times
 
A disciple is a good friend to call on always
 
A disciple will pray with you any time of the day
 
A disciple is definitely a child of God to serve in doing His will
 
Be a disciple and show people that you love them through all things.
