Sometimes life may seem like it’s getting the best of us when trials and tribulations come but we always have to know that it’s important to trust God, wait on His call and actually have patience to deal with whatever we have on our plate at the time. It’s easy to give up but it’s a blessing to accept God’s grace and allow Him to hold our hands through good and bad times. The main goals are to serve, trust God and be a vessel for Him.
Being a vessel for God is not easy because it involves sacrifice, pain, suffering and sometimes it may seem like everyone is against you. I say this because when you’re doing good, evil comes at you more and more to distract you. However, the reality of it all is its worth everything because we gain peace, we gain joy and we stay connected to the vine. Let’s stay focused! Yesterday, I talked about peace being a choice and the benefits of it and this is another reason to hold on because each day we don’t know what we’re going to get and we have to let go and let God. This is when we really need to trust God because it shows our faith. Some situations in our daily lives that we find ourselves in are not our fault all the time and sometimes things are out of our control. It makes no sense to worry about things that we can’t control and the things we can control is a choice as well to look at it in a positive or negative way. I know it sounds easy and I know some situations are hard to get through but God is here to help us get through all things. While we’re on this journey, we have to know where we’re going. For example, each day we should work on being a better person, learn from yesterday and practice good virtues when we’re dealing with others and pay attention to how we’re handling ourselves. Are we humble, are we sensitive to other people feelings, are we loving and forgiving our neighbor as God loves us and basically, are we doing our part. We don’t know when our time will end so each day is special. God teaches us what we need to know and He sent His son to show us how to live, how to release our burdens to get rest and how to pick up the cross and walk with Him. It doesn’t get any better than that and when we become like children, we’re able to bear good fruits because we’re nothing without God. (John 15:5) So when life comes at you hard, remember James 1:2 – Consider it all joy when you encounter trials, know that God is with you and at the end of the day know where you’re trying to go. Amen
