Hello everyone,
Today is a new beginning full of God’s love and grace. Let’s make the decision to have a good day by accepting that love and sharing it with one another. Whatever we have to encounter throughout our day, let’s be reminded that God is with us through it all. Today, I want to share some words of wisdom about having sympathy for others, having love and compassion for others, being there for each other and never losing sight of God’s unconditional love. It’s Christmas and the reason for the season is to share God’s love and to reflect on the goodness that He brings in our lives. It’s also a time to re-evaluate how we’re living so that we can be better people to serve our brothers and sisters to give hope. Each one of us is going through something and most of the time, we don’t have people that we can trust to talk to or lean on. Some of us, haven’t established a relationship with God, not that we don’t want to but sometimes, life can get crazy. I’m not making excuses for anyone, but some people don’t know Jesus, and some do but have gotten so far away from the vine that they feel it’s too late to get back on track. This is why it’s very important to be an example so that we can be there for one another and grow within. Being there for one another is sometimes difficult because the truth hurts and some of us are not ready for change. It’s takes tough love to really love because when we try and say things that are best for us, it’s painful because people are not ready to accept the wisdom. It’s very important that we recognize wisdom when we see it, we recognize true friends when they come and we know the importance of being honest with one another to better ourselves and to better others. It’s when we don’t speak our truth and don’t try and help one another is when the pain comes and even if we don’t feel it now, we’re going to feel it later. A lot of times, people hurt when we’re not true examples of Jesus, we hurt as well and sometimes we’re not there either to be that vessel so how can we be there for others when we’re not there for ourselves? Let’s challenge ourselves to do better one day at a time. This holiday season let’s spend time with God first and try and reflect on what we need to do to be better so that we can be there for others and don’t lose sight of the mission. I believe people want to have good intentions, but life can be a struggle at times mentally and physically and it’s not easy to sacrifice or do the right thing. This is why it’s very important to stay connected to God, pray more, talk to Him more and just learn to make Him part of your everyday life and conversations. We all need courage to be an example so let’s encourage each other and be there for one another even when people are not so good to us. I know that’s hard to digest but if we don’t learn to love, we’re going to have some tough days ahead. God loves us very much and we have to be reminded that when we go through things, He’s there and He will never leave us alone. We just have to accept the grace and walk with the cross. That’s pain and sacrifice. Jesus showed us that when He walked to calvary. After He held on, He received the victory. I used to ask myself all the time why did God love us so much that He sent His son? but I believe He wanted to show us the importance of unconditional love and He knew we were going to go through some tough situations on our journey. He was teaching us how to stand firm in the battle. When we’re going through anything, let’s do like Jesus did, take the pain or sacrifice, know that we’re going to win in the end and hold on to life. Pain is sacrifice and sacrifice leads to peace. Amen to that. Let’s be there for each other to show all the light of Jesus (hope) and when we go through things in life, let’s know that it’s a sign that victory is coming. God’s love is powerful so let’s always know that and when the burdens come, give them to God and continue to love others unconditional as God loves us. Thank You Lord. Please read the passage in the bible, the poems and click on the link to listen to the wonderful song that shows us the importance of being there for one another, loving each other and knowing that God loves us unconditionally. 1 CORINTHIANS 13 1If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. LOVE Love is loving your neighbor Even if you don’t know them Love is being there for people When they need you the most Love is forgiveness When you have been hurt Love is caring For all people in this world Love is not judging others when they sin Love is patience to allow people to be themselves Love is having a good heart To help others through all things Love is communicating When you don’t understand Love is reaching out to people And letting people know they can count on you Love will allow you to enjoy the good things That God has given you. 1 JOHN 2:10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. SYMPATHY I wrote this poem especially for you Because I feel it’s so important to do I know you are going through a tough time Keep your head held high with God on your mind You have to be strong to get through pain But strength is so important to gain Sometimes life is difficult to understand Always know that God has a plan It may seem life is coming to an end Don’t give up, you still can win You have a purpose to do Whatever God has planned for you I want to share with you a special note I learned it from God and it helps me to cope Choose to be happy each and every day Don’t allow anything to get in your way Wake up with a smile even when things are bad Don’t choose to be mad, weary or sad I know sometimes it’s tough for you Trust in God He will do Wonderful deeds for you to see That He’s the one and will always be The person for us to trust Even when we have to put up with a lot of stuff This battle is not yours, give it to God Sometimes life could be very, very hard Focus on having peace each day You will feel so much better in every way That’s what life is all about Learning to cope without a doubt Whenever you need someone, I’m here always Peace be with you in all of your days. 1 JOHN 3:17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
