There are so many people who don’t enjoy life because they don’t like the way they look. That’s sad & we definitely can’t allow God to use us if we don’t like what he has made. I’ve witnessed people get depressed because they are over or under weight and there are others that feel good about their bodies. This happens because society looks at you like you have a serious problem.
Yes, it’s a problem because it’s not good for your heart but we all have problems. Some of us have problems much more serious than being over or under weight. You just can’t see the problems and the problems are hidden. I’m not saying it’s okay to be this way because we all need to take care of our bodies. The body needs things to function and when we don’t treat our body right, we can’t function. What I’m saying is you still have to love yourself the way you are today. Don’t look at what society thinks. They don’t live your life. If you want to change your size, make a plan. It’s important to still love yourself because it takes time to lose or gain weight and it just doesn’t happen overnight. We have to educate ourselves to succeed. Losing or gaining weight takes a lot of discipline and if we have a lot of stress in our lives, it’s difficult to do anything. Therefore, it will take longer. I don’t care what diet you are on or what you are eating, it will still be difficult. You will have distractions and you will lose the desire. The key is to try and get your life in order by finding yourself and spending time with yourself. When we do for ourselves in anything we do, we are more productive. You have to find yourself. What I mean by that is, think about what you want in life and plan to get where you want to be. It takes a lot of sacrifice but you will be happy in the end. I know from my experience, I’ve gain weight because of stress. I know what I wanted but stress took over and I just couldn’t lose the weight I wanted to lose. I thank God for helping me realize that I needed to find myself in order to accomplish anything. I didn’t socialize much with my friends or family. I was on a mission. I had to get my life in order first to do anything. Once I got my life in order, I was able to accomplish other things as well. Yes, I was a little over weight but I would go to the gym at least 3 days a week and work out. I was very tired but this was something I wanted and I really didn’t care how I looked. Even with the added pounds, I was still happy with myself. I knew I was beautiful. I would see my friends and they would say girl you have put on weight. I would say yes “I know and”. I’m still the same person and I still love myself. That’s what I’m talking about. Being happy with who you are today not what you want to be tomorrow. You are beautiful or handsome but you have to feel it to be it. Beauty is what’s inside of us not what you see on the outside. In order to lose weight or gain, you really have to educate yourself because there are so many diets and programs out there. However, everybody’s body is different. What works for me may not work for you. The bottom line is be happy with who you are and learn what’s important for you. Love who you are, spend time with yourself and write a plan for your life. This poem is basically letting you know that it doesn’t matter what size you are, you still have to love you and if someone look at you funny, let them look. This is your life and it belongs to you. I added this poem because there are so many people who dislike themselves because of their weight. You can’t be happy if you hate yourself. Know that you are still special and I love you very much. WEIGHT Weight is something we gain Whatever it is don’t be ashamed Whether you are large or small Please, please don’t put up a wall Love yourself and stand up tall If you don’t like your size, make a plan to fix it all Your body is a part of you Do with it whatever you like to do It is not important whether you are tiny or wide What’s important is if you are happy inside Being happy is what it’s all about Big or small without a doubt I will tell you working out is the key To stay in shape and to be A person that takes control Of their body and their soul You need to keep your body strong Eat what’s right not what’s wrong Some of us have life issues that interferes This is why it’s all about being happy with the smiles and the tears You have a choice to be happy whether you are big or small Whatever you choose, make the best the best of it all.
